Participatory budgeting in Morecambe - local residents decide who should receive funding to build a stronger community.
Poulton Neighbourhood Management put public spending in the hands of the local community in February 2008. The participatory budgeting event resulted in 26 applicants who presented their bid at the Grand Voting Event.
