Got a great idea for a community project?

Need help finding funding?

Poulton Neighbourhood Management can help…

We would like to invite community and voluntary groups to an open day where we will help you to find funding to turn your great ideas into reality.
Poulton Neighbourhood Management (PNM) has access to a computer programme called Grant Finder. By typing in some information about your project or idea, Grant Finder will search a database and come up with any available grants or awards that are available.
The open day is taking place on Wednesday 25th June from 10am – 7pm at the PNM office, 53 Euston Road. If you would like to come along and see if your group could be eligible for a grant, please contact the office and book in for around a 30 minute session during the open day.
Call 01524 425200 for more information or to book your session.

Celebrating Heritage and Unique Shopping in Poulton

A guide pointing visitors in the direction of local history sites and individual, specialist shops in Poulton has been produced.

Poulton Neighbourhood Management has produced the ‘Poulton Village Guide to Shopping and History’.
The guide contains a heritage trail around the village of Poulton, the traditional heart of Morecambe. The maze of streets behind the sea front hides some architectural gems such as fisherman’s cottages dating from 1685, Georgian town houses and many art deco style buildings. Along the trail, visitors will visit local landmarks such as Fisherman’s Square, the Clock Tower, the Poulton Arch, the former technical college, the Winter Gardens and the Midland Hotel. Some of the shops featured in the guide are of historical interest with traditional frontage, wrought iron decoration and original stonework.
The guide highlights the wonderful shopping experience in the traditional heart of Morecambe, promoting the wide range of independent and specialist shops selling unusual items that are hard to find. Also listed in the guide is an excellent selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants. Visitors can also enter the prize draw to win a free weekend for two people staying at any hotel during 2009 (subject to availability).
The Poulton Village Guide to Shopping and History is available at Tourist Information Centres, local hotels, cafes and shops and online
