Teenage Kickz

Are you aged between 12–19?
Do you get bored on a Friday night?
No money?
Why not come for a game of footie?

Morecambe Football Club is running free training sessions at the Claypit next to Trimpell on a Friday night from 7pm - 9pm
The Kickz football programme has been set up by the Police and the football industry. The Kickz sessions involve:
• increasing the playing, coaching an officiating opportunities for young people
• breaking down barriers between the Police and young people
• reducing crime and anti-social behaviour in the targeted neighbourhoods
• creating routes into education, training and employment
• increasing young people’s interest in the professional game
Poulton Neighbourhood Management has helped to fund this scheme.

Ministerial Visit

Iain Wright MP recently visited Morecambe to find out more about the ongoing regeneration.

Iain is Parliamentary under Secretary of State and has responsibility for providing support on all aspects of Government housing policy and programmes and physical and housing related regeneration.
The reason for visiting Morecambe was to find out more about the shared ownership scheme that is available with Adactus Housing Group.  He also took the opportunity to visit other regeneration schemes in Morecambe including the Home Zone, Fisherman’s Square and the cottages and businesses that have benefited from improvements from the Townscape Heritage Initiative.
We hope that he will take some valuable information about our successes and difficulties back to the government to inform future housing and regeneration policies.
