Christmas Preparations
The magical ‘Christmas Tree Festival’ is taking place for the 7th year running this December at Morecambe Parish Church.
Starting from Wednesday 5th December and running until Saturday 8th September, lots of local organisations contribute to this wonderful event by decorating their own Christmas tree.
The festival will officially be opened with a prayer at 3.20pm on Wednesday and will stay open until 8pm. On Thursday and Friday, the opening hours will be 3.20pm – 8pm.
On Saturday, the Church will open at 10am with tea, coffee, squash and mince pies and biscuits on sale throughout the day. Soup and sandwiches will also be on sale from 12-2pm. The festival will end at 5pm on Saturday.
The effect when the whole building is lit with Christmas trees, especially as darkness falls, is a spectacular sight – not to be missed. Come along and see it – it has to be seen to be believed.
Admission for adults is £1.00, accompanied children are admitted free. Unaccompanied children are charged 50p.
Local History
Poulton Neighbourhood Management are starting to put together the 2008 calendar containing photographs of Poulton’s past.
Every year, it gets harder to find different photographs from our neighbourhood’s past.

If you have any photographs that you would like to include in our next calendar, please get in touch through the neighbourhood office. We can scan any photographs and give them straight back.
